Splash: Audio reactive visual synthesizer
The basic concepts
The easiest way to think about Splash would probably be a 3D audio reactive ‘painting’ program. The system is built in a way to loosely reflect traditional 2D painting softwares, in that there is a canvas (3D scene), brushes, layers, layer effects and filters.
At this moment Splash is in the alpha stages of it’s development. Alpha meaning not all features are implemented, and the design is still fluid and evolving. There may be bits added or subtracted between builds, things moved out until bugs and fixed, interface will likely go through some design iterations and controls and shortcuts will change. I will try my hardest to avoid any unnecessary changes.
At the moment and for the near future Splash unfortunately will be quite a closed system, meaning for now you can’t load any custom assets, models, textures into the environment to play with. This is something that is planned but will take some time to implement.
